Focused on Aging Services
As people age and become dependent on others for their care one of the areas usually is forgotten about is the elder’s oral health. At HyLife we focus our attention with in the field of Aging Services so that elder’s experience healthy teeth and gums for their lifetime.
Our Mission is to be change agents by addressing the oral health and well-being of dependent adults. We believe this demographic, specifically elders, are at great risk of literally “dying from dirty teeth” and we plan to do something about that.
Angie experienced the decline of the dental health of her mother-in-law and her grandmother once they were in a situation of being cared for. Upon seeing this issue Angie went to work to create a model of care that would reduce dental disease and unnecessary suffering in the dependent adult population.
A Lifetime of Service: After many years of reading research, doing research of her own and putting her new found knowledge into application she developed the HyLife Oral Health Alliance (HOHA). It is through this group that seniors will receive a lifetime of oral care. This care results in smiles being preserved, continued ability to enjoy food, and an overall feeling of wellness. Residents experience fewer cavities, if any at all, less gum disease, and improved over all health.
Introducing the HyLife Oral Care Alliance
In the last few years Angie’s vision and model has evolved in to the HyLife Oral Health Alliance (HOHA). HOHA is a group of people who are dedicated to ensuring elders remain dentally healthy for their entire life. Our resources include HyLife Oral Care Services, HyLife Oral Care/Oral Health Education, HyLife Oral Health Centers, and HyLife Oral Care/Oral Health Products.
HOHA focuses on the care and service of older dependent adults; specifically, those residing in assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing communities. We also provide oral care services and support to alternative care programs serving dependent adults such as P.A.C.E, home health, and companion care resources throughout the US.
Our mission is to be change agents by addressing the oral health and well-being of dependent adults. We believe this demographic, specifically elders, are at great risk of literally “dying from dirty teeth” and we plan to do something about that.
Through education, community engagement, and by providing targeted oral care services we believe the field of aging services will be empowered to impact quality, add value and enhance the customer experience. We believe this is the ultimate win-win for all parties.
